This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My eighth-grade mathematics classroom consists of 80 students. Each of these students will demonstrate on the first day of school their eagerness to learn. Some of them come from single-parent homes, and others are being raised by other family members. My class is a multicultural class, meaning that various nationalities are represented.
As stated previously I will service 80 students from various backgrounds, including one student from Africa, eight students of Hispanic background, and one student from China.
In an effort to provide all students the best possible learning experience, they will be taught in some instances in a different language.
My Project
As my students and I seek to learn the stories of mathematics and why it is important to our modern day learning, the requested materials will aide in the advancement of knowledge. The compasses and protractors will help the students to navigate their learning. As this navigation is in process, the dry markers and posed, will help the students to document their progress.
The students of Classroom 58, encompass various learning styles.
Some of these student are challenged with various learning challenges, as while others are comprised of regular education learners. The implementation of Eureka Math will drive students to not only know mathematics but know the why's behind what it takes to accomplish real mastery of mathematics.
