My Project

"In special education, there's too much emphasis placed on the deficit and not enough on the strength" is my favorite quote by Temple Grandin. It has always been my goal and passion to provide each of my students with the ability to show the world what they are actually capable of despite their disabilities.

The laminator, Velcro dots, glue sticks, and other materials will give me the means to create the tools my students need each day to be successful.

Each item selected aids in creating visuals and task boxes needed to meet each student's individual needs.

My students will have their own mini schedules and activity boxes that corresponds to their individual education goal (IEP). Pictures will be printed, cut out, and laminated then applied to different areas using the Velcro or hot glue depending on the surface the pictures are being attached to.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
