My Students
My students are some of the brightest and most gifted students in my school district. However, due to their home environments and dangerous neighborhoods, the only thing on their minds is pure survival. Most of our students come from struggling homes where their parents are trying to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table. Our school provides a safe haven for most of our students. They come to school eager to learn every day regardless of the lack of school supplies. It is important that they feel they don't have to worry about basic school supplies.
My class motto is "Failure is not an option!" Please help with supplies for my Individuals and Societies class.
One of my goals is to make sure the students have everything they need in order to be successful in class. These students are under-served and just need someone to care about them and their success. Because of their eagerness for learning I want to remove all barriers or obstacles that may hinder their success.
My Project
I love challenging my scholars and expose them to world issues! It is my goal to develop students’ understanding, stimulate their interest, and increase their ability to develop global mindedness. Working at the Exploration centers will help my scholars develop a deep sense of inquiry. The Ziploc bags, highlighters, and markers will allow me to facilitate various activities at the learning centers.
With your help, my scholars will be able to glimpse the world out there and work on the necessary skills to compete.
