This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am constantly struggling to keep my classroom neat and organized. The room is small and there are a ton of supplies that need to be stored safely, as well as be easily accessible to students. It can be a nightmare to shuffle around materials for three different projects at a time. In addition to keeping our supplies organized, I also need to have the room turned over quickly between classes. Whether building rescue robots, constructing bridges, or processing 3D prints, there is always a bit of a mess to be made!

Providing these essential cleaning and organizing tools will allow my students to be more responsible for keeping our classroom running smoothly.

In my class, students are assigned jobs so that everyone is doing their part to efficiently gather materials, store their work in progress, clean up and put away supplies so that everything is ready for the next class. The Rolling Storage Cart will be used to store supplies such as tape, glue, markers and scissors for easy access as they are needed. The 16 qt. Storage Bins will allow sets of materials to be prepped and distributed to each table. Magnetic Pickups will make light work of collecting nuts and bolts that fall on the floor, while the Dustpans and Brooms will make sweeping up any scraps a cinch.

Supporting this project will go a long way in providing my students with a neat and organized classroom. Helping us streamline the cleanup and organization routine will allow more time to be spent applying what they've learned, while being more responsible for maintaining a positive classroom environment.
