Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from an area where the majority of the students receive free or reduced-price lunch based on their socioeconomic status. Despite their hardships, the students are eager to learn and do their best.
These students are eager to learn and present their projects.
The students love to engage in activities and long to learn but are restricted by the limited access they have to resources. There are many challenges we face in the classroom, having the resources would enhance their learning tremendously.
My Project
My students are bright and eager to learn! Unfortunately, they are at a great disadvantage when it comes to socio-economic status. These students do not have the means to obtain basic supplies to enhance the learning process. These supplies that many take for granted like pens, pencils and notebooks can make a huge difference in a student's academic success.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
We use colorful markers, highlighters, and pens to color code and highlight our notes and create beautiful posters to cement mathematical concepts we learn in class.
It is essential for the students to retain these complex ideas and the process of color coding and creating posters is a method of learning that further ensures comprehension. These basic supplies can make a significant difference in student achievement.
