My Students
My future 1st grade scholars are currently finishing up their year in K2. They have been doing a great job starting the process of learning to read and write, learning fundamental math and so much more.
The scholars that will be joining my class are children of varying academic levels and many different cultural backgrounds.
Our diverse group will bring so many unique traits and different experiences into the school year, by the end of the school year my mission is that all of my students leave with the love of learning! I hope to cultivate the love for learning with the help of essential technology in my classroom and that is where your help will be appreciated greatly.
My Project
I will be taking on a new role at the Winship Elementary next year as I am taking over a 1st Grade position! I am very excited and looking forward to the challenge. In my previous position I was given the technology to make the difference that I had made. This year I am hoping to obtain a projector and document camera for my classroom. I have realized over the past few years how essential these two tools are to the classroom. I have used the two tools hand in hand as a way to teach a students in so many ways. It is great for educational videos or my own thinking through a larger screen as an introduction to new math strategies or ELA concepts, way to share student exemplars which solidify proper strategies or clear up common misconceptions and also can be used to capture student progress through screen shots. The possibilities are endless and I look forward to finding all of the great ways this technology can be implemented in my classroom.
