Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach fifteen sections of trimester classes, which means this project will impact approximately 360 students throughout the school year. Yes, you heard correctly -- that's a huge impact! They are an amazing group of students who are curious, creative, yet still need supplies to get them organized. Many of them thrive when they have the right tools to stay organized, express themselves, and feel connected at school.

The supplies they need simply the essentials like pencils, accordion file folders, and dividers to help students stay organized, take pride in their work, and keep track of their learning.

Many of my students cannot afford their own supplies, and having these materials available in the classroom will remove one more barrier to their success.

During the trimester, we complete a gratitude project, and having black pens, markers, and cardstock will help students create meaningful notes and gifts for the people they choose to thank and recognize.

Your support will make a tremendous difference in helping my students stay organized, motivated, and connected. Together, we can create a classroom where every student has the tools to succeed and feels a true sense of belonging. Thank you for considering supporting our class!
