Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My first-grade students are bright, outgoing, and motivated. They come to school with a big smile every morning, ready to learn something new!

First grade is a time of tremendous growth in reading, writing, math, and learning about the world around them.

It is extremely important to me that I am able to provide my students with high-quality instruction and opportunities to practice, create, and demonstrate their learning across all subject areas.

These daily learning experiences require essential classroom materials. My students will use writing paper and markers to create and write stories as well as practice critical foundational skills such as penmanship and computation. They will use paper to model and share their thinking. Chart tablets are important tools that I use to help guide instruction. Copy paper will provide more opportunities to practice literacy and math skills in the classroom as well as at home, while also supporting creative projects and hands-on learning experiences.

In light of our budget constraints and limited resources, your donations to our project will help ensure my students have consistent access to the materials they need to learn, grow, and feel confident in their abilities. Every page provides an opportunity for a student to practice a new skill, share an idea, solve a problem, or show what they know.
