My Students

My school is located in rural Mississippi. Our districts lacks the funds needed to supply our classroom needs adequately. My Kindergarteners are very bright and deserve the much-needed materials. They love any new materials I provide and have a real thirst for learning! I know that with added resources, there knowledge would be greatly enhanced.

My Project

The students in my classroom need a clean easily organized place to keep there items they bring to school every day. The cubbies will help keep the children items all in one place so it is easy to find for them. The reading area will have a soft comfortable place for children to enjoy sitting and looking at stories. The magnetic board will be used during center time to either write or use letters and numbers for several activities including alphabet recognition and solving math problems. These items are essential to a childs learning.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
