I have a wonderful class of third graders this year who are eager to learn! They are imaginative, enthusiastic, and creative. Our classroom is a tight knit group from a small town community, and I love watching my students support each other like family.
I know that my students are capable of amazing things, and I can't wait to see how they grow this year!
When students develop a love of learning, it is life changing. I'm looking forward to the ways I can foster that passion for knowledge.
My Project
My students love learning math, but math small groups have been challenging due to a lack of essential materials. My students need hands-on manipulatives and visual aids to help them grasp important mathematical concepts. We are learning multiplication right now and we could really use personal dry-erase boards and number lines.
My students will be able to understand the math lessons so much better by being able to work with their own reusable number lines and dry-erase boards.
My students will use the reusable number lines to help them solve multiplication problems as well as fraction problems later on in the year. The dry-erase boards will help my students solve problems and show their answers without going through so much paper. The giant classroom timer will help my students keep track of how long they need to work in each group and will help us with our pacing.
