Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Art is a subject most, if not all, of my students look forward to! It is a place where we all can participate! We build, create, and draw beautiful pieces we can treasure for many years.

My students glance at the daily schedule on the board, looking for art to be listed as one of our afternoon activities.

When they spot it, they become excited and ask, "What is art?" Typically, our art pieces are assignments that take a few days to complete because they are multistep.

One classic and favorite way for my students to do art is painting. They love painting using watercolors, tempera paint, and poster paint. Recently, we added glow-in-the-dark paint, and that has been a huge winner.

Sadly, we are running out of supplies and need more. Please help fund our project so students have enough paints, paper, pens, and other materials to use during art!
