Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students will be practicing writing and grammar skills such as locating text features, making contractions, and making compound words to name a few.

We will transform our classroom into a surgery room where students will dress as surgeons to practice various skills.

These materials will literally transform our classroom! Imagine the looks on the students’ faces when they come to school and their classroom is... a surgery room! They'll put on their surgery caps, gowns, gloves, and goggles to perform surgery on sentences and texts! As grammar doctors, they will pull out the various parts of speeches or construct new sentences/paragraphs.

A happy and fun classroom where students are practicing skills while making connections with a room transformation leads to greater understanding. My students will love dressing up as surgeons to practice their skills. Maybe some may even become doctors and nurses when they grow up.
