Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

We at Sumner are struggling to compete at the highest level we can simply because we lack the quality equipment we need. Our program has wonderful PCs capable of running most games, but competing in certain games becomes almost impossible without proper controllers, especially at a higher competition level, which several of my students aspire to compete at.

We are also at a huge disadvantage in competing in all Nintendo games as we do not have enough systems with the Internet, and several players are forced to play on split screens smaller than the actual switches themselves.

The more access to online accounts we have, the better advantage we have for all of our students to compete.

Controllers and online subscriptions will allow us to compete at a higher level and win more challenging games. This will help our team achieve its ultimate goal of providing students with a path to college with scholarships through esports.
