Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We want to build a lasting eSports program at Alliance Smidt Tech High School where many students do not have PCs at home to play competitive games. With a student population where 98.8% receive free or reduced lunch, students do not have the access to this emerging field of competition.

Help build an eSports program at Smidt Tech!

With these PC components, we will have the major parts of our next gaming PC so we can play our upcoming spring season.

This is a way to get students into non-traditional high school competitions, build community and support the interests of students who may not have access at home. Our students play Valorant, Overwatch 2, Apex Legends, Rocket League, Smash: Ultimate. Funding this project will go a long way to providing access to students for this extracurricular and learn more about technology along the way.
