My students need the laminating machine in order for me to make posters for students in order for them to reference to the posters I would make for them since they do not have textbooks.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are a mix of amazing 9-12th graders who attend the amazing Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, which was the first high school for African Americans in the United States.
My students come from all types of background, from the local neighborhoods to even different states and countries!
Dunbar High School is a Title I school meaning that all the students are on free or reduced lunch.
Since we are localized only 10 minutes from the Nations Capitol, it is only right that my students learn a second language. This is where I would need assistance. In order for my students to fully understand Spanish
We would need the basics in order for my students to be successful in continuing to learn Spanish from each student having whiteboards to the basics as in having tissue that way my students to have to leave the classroom and miss out on important content.
My Project
With my students having the necessary items such as tissues and hand sanitizer, my students will not have to leave the classroom. Students also will not need to go to other classroom to look for supplies when we will already have it.
My students truly want to learn Spanish but it is hard when my handmade posters are falling apart or they can't see it or understand my handwriting.
With the laminating machine, I am able to use the posters, signs consistently throughout the year and for my future students.
