This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are a group of mixed personalities. They show the light on each other. They come from a lower income area in a large metropolitan area.
The students at my school are inquisitive, creative and imaginative.
They need classroom books to help grow their abilities to read and create. Many students do not have easy access to books outside of school.
Help me create a classroom which will help make their reading excel. Help these students get lost in a book.
My Project
Do you remember getting hooked on a book? Think of the anticipation and excitement you felt waiting for an opportunity to open the world again. My students share that excitement and joy of waiting for and then finally devouring the newest books.
My students are inquisitive, voracious readers who are craving to discover the newest adventures in their favorite book series.
When a student isn’t “into” reading, we need to help him or her find the book that will spark their love of reading. Reading is an escape from the world to let them experience a new perspective. Help them bring joy to their reading time.
