My Students
My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. I am continually amazed by the creativity, intelligence, love, and energy that my students possess. They truly are my inspiration and they teach me just as much as I teach them.
I teach at a Title I school in Utah where many of my students receive free breakfast and lunch every day.
Despite difficulties in their lives, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day.
My Project
My students need dry erase boards and erasable pocket charts to enhance their learning experience. We use dry erase boards daily in our first grade classroom to practice phonics skills, sight words, writing, math facts, etc. My students are always more engaged when we practice these skills using a marker and board instead of a pencil and paper. We use erasable pocket charts weekly during math time to practice math skills. The pocket charts create more engagement among my students and save paper! We currently do not have a class set of either.
Your generous donation to our project will improve our first grade classroom by creating engagement and fun during learning time.
This will in turn help build strong readers, writers, and mathematicians. Your donation will ensure that my students love school, have fun learning, and feel successful at an early age. Thank you!
