Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My elementary students come to school with diverse backgrounds, learning needs, and access to resources. This project will help ensure that every child—regardless of circumstance—has equal access to hands-on learning tools that build confidence, engagement, and academic success.

Dry erase boards and markers will allow students to practice math and writing skills daily in a low-stress way, encouraging risk-taking and immediate feedback.

Individual mini whiteboards ensure all students can participate during lessons, not just those who feel comfortable raising their hands. A teacher desktop magnetic whiteboard will support clear modeling and small-group instruction, which is especially important for students who need extra support.

Composition notebooks, construction paper, and laminating pouches will be used to create interactive notebooks, reusable learning materials, and student projects. These tools help students stay organized, strengthen fine motor skills, and engage in meaningful learning experiences that they may not have access to outside of school.

To maintain a welcoming and effective learning environment, adhesive remover will help refresh learning materials so they can be reused throughout the year. A portable mini projector will allow lessons, visuals, and student work to be displayed clearly, supporting visual learners and increasing engagement for young students.

With these materials, my classroom will be a place where all elementary students can actively participate, practice safely, and feel confident in their learning.
