Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We know that science is one of the most exciting subjects for students but it can also be very hard to understand certain concepts (especially with just books). Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning. They all have a very different, yet special and unique way of learning! They are definitely a special group of kids to have in a classroom. With your support and investments. my students will be able to gain hands-on, immersive learning working to help make STEM more equitable & accessible to them. My student's unique needs in the classrooms are critical to achieving this goal by exposing them to Computer Science and project-based learning experience. With your support, I am requesting a variety of tools my students need to have a successful school year. This will be my first time becoming a STEM teacher cluster supporting a large population of my students to meet their needs. I am requesting classroom decor to make my students a welcoming experience supporting their social and emotional needs. In addition, I am requesting a variety of notebooks and pencils and markers and pencil cases, and pouches to provide space for my students to write down their work. In addition to this, I am requesting laminating pouches to create differentiated work for my students with disabilities. I will be working with students from 3K all the way to 5th grade. This is an exciting new experience for me. Starting from zero, in a new classroom, a new environment. With your support, I will be able to make this possible. Please help my students get the materials they need to have a wonderful first year in STEM. My students will be coding, creating their own investigations, and prototypes, and getting hands-on learning.
