Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Currently, we teach 9th students who come from all 50 wards of the city. Our students are in school from 7:30 am to 3:08 pm engaged in rigorous college preparatory, Pre-AP, and AP classes. The Biology team at Lake View High School would like to purchase some essential materials for our scholar scientists such as calculators and privacy shields.

We need notebooks to help students keep track of the science content/concepts they are learning in class, privacy shields to assist students with the skill of staying focused during assessments, and calculators so students can easily share their math modeling skills.

These supplies will help ensure our scholars are ready to learn help them maintain engagement with the curriculum they are learning in our classrooms
