This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is composed of 95% low-income students who do not let their socioeconomic background define them. Most of my students are LatinX, bringing many different, unique, and diverse experiences and knowledge to our classroom. My 6th grade students are brilliant scholars ready to learn with the right materials.

My students are in need of EXPO markers and organizational supplies to help them have materials all year long.

We are constantly using EXPO markers during our math class to go over review problems, but students are constantly losing them. I am asking for more EXPOs for this reason as well as a system to help them keep their materials organized.
