My Students

My students are very high level, college driven students. They are constantly wanting more: more information, more knowledge, more challenge. Many of my students come from affluent families, but our school has the typical monetary problem of limited technological resources.

My students want and need to be challenged on a daily basis.

Training future engineers, they need hands on experiences with top of the line technology every day and a classroom that integrates technology seamlessly. My students need to see how technology is used in new innovative ways and learn how to control and manipulate it to their own design.

My Project

Our students are constantly in need of new equipment. Currently our big need is a Wen Belt Sander in order to smooth out their wooden projects in a safer manner. Each year we have students designing, laser cutting, and making wooden mechanical toys, but unfortunately, they don't always fit together as expected and need a little bit of sanding. A power sander will greatly help in this process.

Our students are also in need of replacement equipment, as tools wear out when they are used all day every day for years.

Hex keys used for making robots get stripped and we need new ones, SD card readers stop being able to transfer data preventing students from 3D printing, and electrical wires and alligator clips for making breadboard circuits get used up with each new project. Please help our students replenish the supply cabinet so they can continue to create.
