I teach in a very diverse urban setting in the city of Pittsburgh. One hundred percent of our students receive free lunch. Half of my students did not attend a preschool program and were four at the start of the school year.
With such a wide range of academic abilities in our room, there is a need to Incorporate play and hands-on learning opportunities that enable all students to learn through meaningful play.
My energetic kiddos love to learn through varied teaching methods. They love playing with the blocks, puppets, and dress up. They really like to dance and paint too. Working with this group of children is so exciting because everything is new and intriguing to them.
My Project
The items I have requested will help my students have a better hybrid experience. The swivel laptop stand will allow me to turn my computer 360 degrees while I am teaching in the classroom.
These supplies enable me to present equally to all students during hybrid!
The gooseneck holder will allow me to use my phone to project workbook pages and stories. Elmos do not work well for virtual learning.
The blue tooth voice amplifier will give me the ability to project my voice for both groups of students while wearing a mask. It is critical kindergarten children are able to hear individual sounds clearly.
With a wireless mouse I can click seamlessly through lessons without lag time from slow key strokes using the computer keyboard. These supplies will give my students better access to the visual and sound presentation of my lessons. My students will have more success as readers when they are able to hear and see clearly.
