"Can we print it in color?" They love when the answer is yes, however this requires that we have more color and black ink for our printer! We also are looking to add Lego Mindstorm Robots to our afterschool Masterminds group to teach students about engineering and programming.
My students are 3rd, 4th and 5th graders who are high achievers.
They are part of our school's academically gifted and talent development programs. I also have 3rd, 4th and 5th graders in an afterschool club called Masterminds where we explore our creative sides and improve our critical thinking skills.
My Project
Having the replacement cartridges for each color of ink will allow us to continue to use our wireless color printer. The students have enjoyed creating on the iPads and then being able to print their work in color. They are looking forward to continuing this process throughout the year. We also are looking to expand the variety of our Masterminds program afterschool. The students would use the Lego Mindstorm robot kits to build a robot and then program it to accomplish a variety of tasks. There are 5 different types of robots that can be built with this kit. The students will be exposed to ways that math and science can be fun and possible future careers.
Can you help make our classroom and club wishes come true for 2014?
We would love to be able to continue printing in color on our Epson wireless printer with the color ink. We would also love to learn about how to build and program robots during our afterschool club. Thank you for helping our dreams become a reality!
