Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

As we approach Earth Day, it's essential to emphasize the importance of environmental literacy and sustainability education in our classrooms. At our Title 1 school, we recognize the need to educate our students about environmental issues and inspire them to become good stewards of the planet.

By integrating these books into our curriculum, I aim to raise awareness, foster a sense of environmental responsibility, and empower my students to make a positive impact on the world around them.

Through interactive readings, discussions, and activities, we will create a dynamic learning experience that encourages critical thinking, empathy, and a sense of global citizenship among our students.

By immersing my students in environmental literacy books, I want to foster a deeper appreciation for the natural world and instill a sense of environmental stewardship. Through hands-on activities and projects inspired by the books, students will develop critical thinking skills, creativity, and a sense of responsibility in addressing environmental challenges.
