My third grade class is full of energetic learners. Curious, enthusiastic, and creative; my students are eager to immerse themselves in any kind of challenge.
Having complete books series will help my students love of books grow!
I believe that in my class I have amazing future scientists, engineers, doctors, lawyers, teachers and leaders. The list goes on. It is my hope that in their school journey, I will give them the skills and confidence they need in order to pursue their dreams. Having books at each students level will help with this!
My Project
I am so lucky to teach third grade this year, and have an amazing group of students! My students love to read, but I kept getting asked, "Mrs. Graves, do you have the next book in this series?" My answer each time in an unfortunate, "No." I would like to make our class library more appealing by completing the book series listed in this project. (Many students have voiced their choices, and the books in this project are books they want!)
Just as teachers differentiate lesson plans, a class library also has to be differentiated!
When trying to select a book from the class library, there's nothing worse than feeling left out, and not having a book that you are able to read. This project will help me reach every student and make them feel included during Reader's Workshop, as well as all other times students get to explore and check out books from our class library. Nothing makes my heart happier than a student asking me, "Mrs. Graves? Can I take this book home and read it?" Please help me share the love of reading with my students. Thank you!
