The first thing that each student noticed upon returning is our big, beautiful rug. They are all dying to use it to play games and to have relaxing reading time.\r\n The rug came just in time for cold weather and cozy games and activities. One of our favorite games to play in December is \"The Ugly Sweater Game\" where students use their decoding, comprehension and logical reasoning skills to guess which sweater is the \"mystery sweater\" using a series of clues. \r\n The best part of this whole gift is that, due to an error in Lakeshore's delivery process, they delivered TWO of the same rug and are letting us keep both! This means that your gift is impacting twice as many students since the math intervention teacher will use the other rug! Our intervention room looks great and is really coming together as a safe space for our struggling learners to explore and learn.","fullyFundedDate":1760560633034,"projectUrl":"project/cozy-up-for-reading/9698793/","projectTitle":"Cozy Up for Reading","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Merriman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp24635_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1664482230259","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/24635"},{"teacherId":3523852,"projectId":8747792,"letterContent":"My students loved being able to work together, think and collaborate, as well as move around the room. The engaging, story-based approach helps students remember phonics patterns and apply them across all subjects. They're now excited to read and proudly share the \"secrets\" they've learned, unlocking and decoding words that used to be a challenge.\r\n\r\nWhat's even more amazing is that these strategies are not just showing up in reading and writing—they're becoming a meaningful part of our students' entire school day. These activities have inspired my students to spread kindness throughout our school, and I've seen a real difference in their confidence and compassion. These TPT resources have not only enriched their learning, but also helped them develop greater independence and thoughtfulness.\r\n\r\nYour donation also allowed me to purchase small group materials to support student growth in both reading and writing.
