My Students

We are in a time of such uncertainty. Never would I have imaged leaving my classroom in early March, never to return to it again. My students, and their wonderful parents, have acclimated to online learning beautifully. They have been truly dedicated to supporting me as I teach their children completely online.

My students have maintained over 90% attendance every day since this new normal has begun!

I have a Google Classroom, a Raz-Kids classroom, a Remind class and a Padlet that I am using to teach remotely. I have had Google Meets to check in with my class and I have even sent each student an individual mailing from me to keep them motivated. They are doing a great job. I hope I am too. But we all deserve more.

My Project

As a First Grade teacher, it is my job to not only teach my students, but also instill a love of learning in each and every one of them. As you view this Distance Learning project, you'll notice that everything is FLAT because I intend to mail these game pieces and art materials to each child's home. Not only will getting mail be excited for my students, but they will be able to play and have fun with their friends and classmates, while they continue to abide by our Stay-At-Home Order.
