My Project

I love how creative, artistic, kind and curious my students are! We are excited to add fun and engaging materials to our classroom that encourage peer interaction, deepen critical thinking learning, and strengthen problem-solving skills. These hands-on materials will be used during independent choice time and indoor recess days.

My first graders love to collaborate and use their imagination to create wonderful artistic pieces.

The drawing paper, arts and crafts supplies, and post-it notes will fill our room for those collaborative artistic pieces during choice time. The wooden mosaic puzzle shape pattern block toy develops problem solving skills and hand-eye coordination. Battleship encourages strategic development and patience for young learners. Don't Break the Ice is great for fine motor controls and gradation of force. Lite-Brite encourages creativity and helps students with concepts of color name, color matching, and hand-eye coordination. The Spirograph creates all kinds of combinations and experimenting opportunities for my students. Students develop mathematical and scientific intuition as they draw and understand patterns.

Legos helps my first grade students with motor functions, sensory enlightenment, problem-solving, organizing, creativity, and peer engagement. Hungry Hungry Hippos gets the students up and moving, increases engagement and motivation, and working collaboratively with one another. Block by Block expands spacial problem-solving skills as they construct three-dimensional structures.
