Enough Energy for a Marathon!

My Project

Did you know that less than 0.01 percent of the world's population has run a marathon? Yet, my high school students are doing just that! I, along with two other volunteer teachers, are coaching a group of nearly 30 students to run the LA Marathon in March. My students have trained consistently and safely since August!

Please help me provide energy supplements that will help my students finish the LA Marathon!

When running long distances nutrition and hydration is key. During a race, students do not have time to sit down and eat a full meal, instead they use small energy supplements that contain salts, electrolytes, and low levels of caffeine. As a long-distance runner and teacher/coach it is my job to ensure each run my students participate in is a fun and safe experience. Energy supplements can make runs safer by keeping students fueled and hydrated.

I work at a low income school where many of my students are unable to purchase costly energy supplements. I believe that the sport of running should be accessible to all people and there should be no financial barrier! Running a marathon is a life changing event. Please help me support my students conquer the LA Marathon!
