My Project

Reading is the key to success in life! As a passionate Bilingual Reading Interventionist, I am writing to express my deep commitment to improving literacy education for our amazing students who are learning to become proficient readers. I seek your support in acquiring a much-needed resource that will significantly enhance our efforts - a color printer.

My class focuses on providing quality reading instruction and learning opportunities to children from kindergarten to second grade.

Many of our students are recent arrivals to this country and they have so much to offer! Our mission is to empower young minds with the gift of literacy, nurturing their cognitive development, and equipping them for a brighter future.

This project aims to improve the learning experience of our students by introducing visual elements into our teaching methodologies. Research has shown that visual aids play a crucial role in literacy development, particularly for early learners and Multilingual learners. By acquiring a color printer, we will be able to create high-quality, visually engaging materials that support our literacy programs.

My goals for this project are:

Foster a love for reading: Vibrant visuals in learning materials capture children's attention and encourage them to engage with reading materials more enthusiastically.

Enhance reading comprehension: Visual cues help children grasp context, aiding in understanding the content and improving overall reading comprehension.

Cater to diverse learning styles: Visual aids accommodate different learning styles, ensuring that each child has the opportunity to excel.

Proposed Equipment: We are seeking funding to acquire a high-quality color printer that can produce vibrant, durable, and professional-looking materials. This printer will be a versatile tool to design and print customized worksheets, flashcards, storybooks, and visual aids that cater to the unique needs of our students. Thank you for your consideration!
