Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Every day, coming to work is an amazing experience. Our students are the most amazing students who have immigrated to this school from different countries. The work ethic of our student body really stands out. They are hard-working, imaginative, supporting, explorers, and most of all, a community. Students, in my class, take ownership of their own learning. No matter their daily struggles, my students have the thrive and hard-work ethic to explore solutions to the task at hand.
My students are from a low-income community and more than 90 percent of them get free or reduced-price lunch.
Our students' families work two even three jobs to support their families and fulfill the American Dream but they have created a great community from different walks of life. No matter the tedious challenges they face, they strive to be the best they can be every day. I have been more than blessed with such an amazing set of young adults.
My Project
The COVID-19 crisis has changed our teaching and learning process across the nation. Adding the I Pad Pro and Pen will help help students to have a better understanding of the lesson connecting the I Pad with Google Classroom, Zoom Video Conference, and Screencastify.
The I Pad will allow me to show students in real time how to solve math problems using document collaboration, screen recording, Zoom conference, Sreencastify, Geogrebra, and more., it will turn into interacting teaching lesson.
Expecting the unexpected keeps kids engaged and appreciative the teacher's efforts. Also, the i-Pad will allow me to provide instant feedback which is very important in classroom.
