This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students are creative, enthusiastic, and driven. They come from diverse backgrounds but share a common love for the performing arts. Many of them aspire to pursue careers in theatre, film, or related fields, while others see the arts as a crucial aspect of their personal and academic development. Their curiosity and eagerness to learn make them a joy to teach.

The Routledge Performance Practitioners series offers a comprehensive and insightful collection of books written by leading experts in various theatre practices.

By introducing these resources into our curriculum, our students will have the opportunity to delve deeply into the methodologies and theories of key theatre practitioners such as Stanislavski, Brecht, Artaud, and others.

Each book in this series serves as a gateway to understanding different approaches to acting, directing, and devising theatre. The specific items we are requesting will provide our students with the necessary tools to analyze and engage critically with the work of these influential practitioners. This exposure will significantly enhance their understanding of theatre history, performance techniques, and the creative process.
