My Students

"Do not confine your children to your own learning, for they were born in another time." Our world is changing and so is the way students learn. As an educator, I strongly believe in the implementation of technology in the classroom.

I have the privilege of teaching 24 wonderful 3rd graders at a small school located in Michigan.

My students love all aspects of technology! From watching a YouTube video of The Great Lakes, to viewing features of the earths surface on an iPad, my students become actively engaged when I implement technology into my lessons (and those are only two examples!). My students are excited learners that are ready to take on our changing world!

My Project

In an age where education competes with video games, teachers have the change with the times and come up with new, innovative ways to connect with students. My students need an iPad and a case. Having an iPad in my classroom will provide an opportunity to enhance our curriculum. We will also use the iPad to develop financial literacy. We are in the process of starting a new school store. We will use the iPad to research and order products. We will also use it to keep track of our inventory and financial records. The possibilities of use are endless! Watching responsible leaders emerge will be a rewarding experience.

Today's students live in a world filled with technology.

If we teach in an old style format, we are doing them a disservice. This iPad will enhance our curriculum and develop financial literacy in a way that connects with our changing world. I am confident that my students will become more comfortable with technology through this funded project. Thank you!
