My Project

I serve special needs students who experience Autism. In my class, we have been focusing on effective strategies to teach reading, writing, spelling, and math. There are effective educational apps that help with learning how to read and spell. The apps are more effective in keeping the manipulative contained in a safe environment without the chance of losing items. One of the apps I want to put on the iPads is one that the students could manipulate letter tiles to make words and then the student can hold down the letter tile and the app will help them read it. It can also help with spelling too. This app and others like it, will be on a medium that is appealing to the students.

There has been a growth with reading this year, and for next year, my hope is the students will learn more and grow in their love for learning.

iPads are effective tools students can use for reading, spelling, and math. It provides a platform that helps the children stay engaged. I want to enhance their learning by providing the best possible tools to aid in their growth.
