This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Technology is becoming the way of learning today. My students enjoy center time and can't wait to select the technology center. They are eager to use the latest technology to practice and review literacy and math skills.

I teach Transitional Kindergarten at a primary center in Southern California.

Many of my students come from low-income families. 100% of the students qualify for free school meals and our school is 100% Title 1. The majority of these families have no access to technology in their homes and look forward to using it in our classroom.

My Project

Having a Samsung Galaxy Tablet would allow my students to listen to stories, learn new vocabulary, review math skills and develop in their fine motor skills. The apps they can use include; books being read aloud to students, tracing letters to improve fine motor skills, math games that self correct, and many more. By incorporating technology into the classroom, students will be provided with the necessary skills needed in the 21st century. They will learn to use and feel comfortable with the latest technology. By having a Samsung Galaxy Tablet in the classroom, my students will become prepared as 21st century learners.

My students are always eager to learn.

Technology is the motivating factor for them to actively participate in their learning. By having the Galaxy Tablet they will be able to practice literacy and math skills but also become more prepared 21st century learners as they acquire technology skills necessary in our society today. The Galaxy tablet will prepare them for future learning.
