My Project

As an early childhood educator, I believe that it is imperative to be intentional in my planning and teaching. Becoming intentional in my teaching and growing professionally requires me to continuously reflect on my teaching and practices to learn, grow, and evolve as an Early Childhood educator. This iPad will support my journey as an educator in planning meaningful lessons and activities about our current unit of study on nature and insects.

By using an IPAD in the classroom, I can connect my students with developmentally appropriate online resources that will enrich their learning about Nature and Insects.

As an extension to our learning, my students will be able to explore information on the IPAD by viewing online informational videos about nature and insects; view photos of different insects; their characteristics; how they move; where they live; who works with insects and learn about how they are helpful to the environment.

In addition, I plan to use this iPad to partake in virtual learning courses that will help me to grow professionally. I plan to partake in professional development through accredited courses to expand my knowledge in Early Childhood Education. Using this device, I will have access to online educational journals; download educational apps and e-books to use to enhance my lessons and activities; and utilize multimedia resources to help guide me in utilizing various strategies and differentiating my lessons and activities for my young learners. This device will offer an array of possibilities that I can utilize to communicate and collaborate with colleagues during professional development sessions and while engaged in common planning teaching practices, lesson development, planning engaging activities; and collecting data for assessment for our students.
