My Students

My class is my inspiration. I teach a sweet group of third grade gifted students at a Title I school in South Carolina. My students come from a variety of backgrounds, but one thing they all have in common is that they come to school eager to learn.

I have a group of very bright and innovative students who are always up for a challenge.

My students are very enthusiastic and motivated learners who are appreciative of any opportunity to gain new knowledge. My students are all unique and learn in a variety of ways. Keeping my students engaged is so important, and that is why we are in need of materials for our class.

My Project

By gaining these construction worker, army ranger, and chef costumes, I will be able to create engaging lessons for my students in all subjects areas. The chef hats and aprons will allow my students to "cook" up some fun with fractions and place value lessons. We will also be able to complete a book 'tasting' in reading. The construction hats and vest will help us construct buildings for area/perimeter.

I want to make learning fun and give my students a creative way to learn the many concepts that we cover in third grade!

Students will be able to get into character by having these costumes. I'm also requesting reflective tape and LED party favor toys.

These materials will allow my students the opportunity to have fun, hands-on activities throughout the year. I will be able to help create a memorable learning experience for my students and help them to grow!
