Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year my amazing 7th grade scholars have started to discover the magic of reading! They just completed their first choice book project and are about to move on to their next one. Our school does not have a library so the scholars choose books from their classroom libraries.

It is vital to provide these wonderful scholars with access to books that are relevant to their interests, culture and grade level.

The books I have selected include positive representation of many groups, racial equity and meaningful themes. It would be a joy for myself and my scholars to have an array of options and choice that empower them as learners, readers and humans.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
