Help me give my students engaging reading materials to help bridge the COVID gap!

My Students

We love our kiddos! Our school has individual learning plans for EVERY student. Learning is personalized. We recognize that every student is different and as such focus on small group instruction, learning centers, and personalized computer aided instruction. Students meet with an advisor to set goals and monitor progress. We also have before and after school enrichment programs. Our 4th graders are so sweet and excited to be here.

My Project

Everyone knows that COVID has created a gap in learning. These reading resource will be an exciting way for kids to practice reading. My students are very interested in the world around them.

News articles will catch their interest and they will read with a purpose!

Story articles will encourage them to be creative and practice their writing. Math articles will teach them that reading is necessary for math and that math is fun!

I will use binders and sheet protectors to preserve these articles for all 90 students to be able to use. Dry erase markers will be used on the sheet protectors. That will conserve supplies and allow all students to enjoy these amazing resources!
