Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Research shows read alouds support all areas of literacy development by exposing students to new words while increasing interest in reading and writing. Vocabulary, comprehension, and discussion skills are just a few that the students are gaining knowledge in throughout the fun read alouds; connecting matching activities truly fosters their love for reading!
Beyond developing literacy skills, read alouds also create an all-around successful classroom.
This happens with stories about friendships, and feelings, along with stories that are connected to various student interests. All are essential items in creating a safe, fun classroom that students truly thrive in!
