My Project

Our county in Maine is known for its beautiful scenery and people with a hard work ethic. We are one of the few towns that still honor the tradition of harvest break. We let out for three weeks during the potato harvest to allow our students to help farmers get their crops in. It provides a wonderful work experience for our students and many farmers would have a difficult time completing the harvest without their help. We live in a community that values hard work.

Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards will allow me to have access to engaging math resources all year long.

Right now, my curriculum needs some activities to keep students interested. I would like to incorporate more hands-on activities in order to do so. I'm hopeful some hands-on activities will engage my students who are having difficulty connecting with the material.
