My Students

My fifth grade inclusion classroom is made up of diverse learners from a small town in western MA. My students are working hard to better themselves each day so that they can gain the skills necessary to be productive members of society and overcome the challenges that many encounter in our high poverty community.

Together, we take pride in our accomplishments and grow immensely as thinkers, readers, and writers over our year in fifth grade.

We love our time together!

My Project

This school year my students have done a wonderful job handling their hybrid learning situation. We are learning new platforms, ways to show what we know, and skills as we adapt to the 2020-2021 school year.

One of the challenges that I face as a teacher this year is making sure that I can make at home learning come to life, excite, and engage my kids.

I am used to over a decade of doing this in the classroom as my students sit in front of me. Now, I have to compete against the distance between us and any distractions at home.

By using awesome resources from Teachers Pay Teachers, I know that I can focus on finding the best content and delivering it as seamlessly as possible without having to build it all on my own. As much as I love creating teaching materials, I need to make sure my time and energy are well focused during this challenging year. Having funds to secure great resources that will engage the students while I teach them remotely would be so very appreciated.
