Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The majority of this project is to get a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card. It's always great to be able to include something we haven't learned about yet and be able to present it in a new and engaging way.

Also, my fourth graders are so used to digital clocks that they really struggle to tell the time.

They have learned to tell the time in previous grades. But I feel this clock will really help them to remember all the specifics they need to be able to tell time on their own on an analog clock and keep them from coming to my computer to check the time!

These same fourth graders need practice on their handwriting and I don't mean cursive! Handwriting Without Tears is a wonderful program that has great ways to help them remember where to start their letters and how to make them.

And finally, our classroom needs velcro dots and clear pockets for all kinds of things. They are so helpful and flexible! You can attach all kinds of things and use the pockets for work or display! And don't forget the treasure box toys! We need to refill the treasure box to keep these kids rewarded for all the good things they are doing: being quiet at the right times, keeping their desks clean and organized, and being kind to each other!
