Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are eager to learn and love to get their hands dirty while learning. We love to explore as a class. Learning is fun. They are very competitive and love to achieve. Students need to be able to learn in an environment that will help them learn and in which they feel comfortable. I want them to feel successful in school and learn to love the journey of learning. It is so fun to see their faces when they figure out the assignment through exploration and connect all the information. We are integrating reading, science, and math. It is so great to see them talk about learning and how much fun it is to be in school.

My students are from low-income or homeless backgrounds and don't get many opportunities for exploring or trying new things, and this will allow them to do both.

These items will help them to enjoy learning and have a desire to engage in learning.

My Project

The items in this project are for engaging students in learning. The candy will be used in lesson to help with fractions and projects to understand parts of a whole.

Pens and sticky notes are for writing in color.

and helping to improve writing to promote positive feedback. In 5th grade, we are focused on writing and improving our writing. The Pens and pencils will be used to identity items we are learning as we write. For example, transitions words, supporting details, and topic sentences. The organizer boxes are to help the student keep there projects organized and all in one place. Thank you for the opportunity to get supplies to engage students in learning.
