My Project

I have the privilege of continuing with my current kindergarten class into first grade during the 2024-2025 school year. My students exhibit kindness, politeness, diligence, and a profound enthusiasm for learning.

Given my familiarity with my students, I aim to enhance their mathematical proficiency by incorporating daily number talks preceding each math lesson.

The magnetic manipulatives, flip charts, number lines, and tangrams align with first-grade math standards. Access to grade-appropriate math resources will not only enhance our number talks but also deepen my students' comprehension of the underlying principles of the mathematical concepts being taught. Using these hands on items will enable students to establish significant connections and facilitate personalized math instruction tailored to meet the diverse needs of all learners in my classroom.

Working within a Title I school environment where students encounter significant challenges emphasizes the criticality of ensuring that every aspect of their school day is purposeful and enriching.
