Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The future is in my classroom today. I teach a large variety of 5th grade students. Many of them are English language learners, some of them have physical and mental disabilities, some are exceptional but all of them deserve an excellent education. I work hard to help my students succeed despite the challenges all ten year olds face, in addition to many other challenges my students have do to lack of home support, financial need and lack of life experiences.
My Project
For Social Studies my students need a large United States map to help them reference where important events took place in history.
For science my students would benefit from having pipettes and test tubes to learn about physical and chemical changes in an interactive and hands on way.
For general classroom use my students would love to have clipboards and dry erase pockets to allow them to do their work around the room and be able to highlight in books without ruining them. The stools will also aid in letting students sit in various places around the classroom for math activities.
