My Students

Our school is mostly made up of students who are living in poverty. They are wonderful children who need opportunities to see themselves as bright capable people. Many of our students do not see themselves in a position to have future careers or become professionals. As a school we try many things to empower these young learners to see themselves as important and to see their own potential. Our students are in need of continuous reminders of how awesome they are.

My Project

I am asking for a color printer and ink so I can create engaging activities and learning games for my students. With the printer I can also create colorful certificates for them at their Pre-k graduation! The Cricut machine will allow me to create fun activities and games to practice endless concepts. The Cricut can make various farm animal shapes that we can use to sort, pattern, identify initial sounds of each, make matching games. My students work collaboratively in small groups throughout the day. I frequently change the activities provided for the small groups to meet the various needs of the students as well as to go with the unit theme. Both the printer and Cricut will allow me to do this with ease and efficientancy.
