Help me give my students an engaging learning experience! From skip counting while jumping rope to dry erase dots that allow students to feel like they are writing on the table! Learning is better when it is fun!
The students in my crew come from low-income families. They attend an inner-city public school where approximately 95% of students live below the poverty line. Our school serves students K-8, providing all students with free breakfast and lunch due to socioeconomic status.
Despite the many challenges my students face on a daily basis, they strive for achievement and thrive on learning new things.
My students are the most inspiring little humans around! My goal is to give students experiences they can carry with them throughout life and look to for confidence, encouragement, and love. It is my hope that I will be able to, in some way, positively affect each and every student that walks through my door.
These items will help make lessons more engaging for my students. While the items are not all related, they all boost engagement in different ways. The jump rope makes math engaging as I teach students to skip count while jumping rope. The dry erase circles will be used in ELA groups and will allow students to feel like they are writing on the table (fun!) The flexible seating options allow for students to get their wiggles out and focus.
Students learn and retain information much better when they are focused, interested, and engaged!
My students and I thank you for helping to increase engagement in the classroom!
