This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I love that my students are eager to learn and they are excited about reading and learning new material. They are not afraid to make mistakes as they know they will learn from them. They also enjoy learning about other cultures and people. All of these students attend a Title 1 School as well. These students are low income but still work very hard to reach their educational goals. Even though these students come from low income families they still exceed expectations in the classroom.
My Project
This project will help my students with reading skills by reading engaging articles that they can relate to and discuss with their peers. My classes in the past have enjoyed the articles and it helps those students that struggle with reading enjoy reading more. The articles are informative and engaging. I will be able to use these along with lessons and vocabulary as well as skills practice to help my students grow as readers. There is even differentiation of the lesson to help students meet their needs wherever they currently are in regards to reading. Thank you for your support.
